Thunderbolt’s Way has been completely blocked by a truck turned on its side and crossing the road south of Walcha.
The accident has happened on Thunderbolts Way on a bend 10km south of Walcha, cutting the road between Aberbaldie Road and Lakes Road, before midday today. The cattle truck involved did have animals on board at the time of the accident.
The road closed in both directions, with diversions in place:
- Northbound traffic use Topdale Road to join the New England Highway via Tamworth.
- Southbound traffic should use the New England Highway as an alternative route.
