All-electric X Terra delivers a smarter way to explore

For travellers looking to spend more time off-grid without sacrificing comfort, the X Series RV Toy Hauler X Terra is making a strong case for the future of caravanning: fully electric, gasless, and built for convenience. The model, available through Tow World, combines rugged touring capability with an all-electric fit-out designed to simplify life on the road.

Available now through Tow World, the 19ft hard roof toy hauler hybrid has been built for families, outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers wanting a van that can carry the gear, handle rougher terrain and still deliver the convenience of a well-appointed home away from home.

Tow World owner and manager Gayle Black said one of the biggest drawcards of the X Terra was its gasless interior, which reflects a growing shift in the caravan market towards all-electric living.

“This isn’t just a caravan, it’s a toy hauler, it is an apartment on wheels, it is your home away from home,” Mrs Black said.

“There isn’t a traveller this van wouldn’t suit, and I am so excited to be working with X Series RV to bring this beast to Tamworth.”

For many buyers, the all-electric design is a standout feature. Without the need for gas bottles and refills, travellers can enjoy a more streamlined touring experience, with fewer moving parts to manage and more confidence when heading off-grid for extended trips.

“From large families (now with the option to upgrade to three or four bunks in the back) to the comfort of home and the gasless interior, it just keeps ticking boxes,” Mrs Black said.

The van’s large battery system and extra solar capacity are key to that appeal, helping support longer stays off-grid while powering the comforts that many travellers now see as essential rather than optional.

“The large battery system with extra solar keeps people’s minds at ease,” Mrs Black said.

“To be able to bring the comfort levels to the next level after a long, hard, hot day on the tracks is huge.”

Inside, the X Terra has been designed to blend practicality with comfort. A queen-size main bed and fold-away single beds provide flexible sleeping arrangements, while a fully appointed ensuite with toilet and shower means travellers do not have to sacrifice convenience when they leave home behind.

Heating and cooling, a 24-inch smart TV and a multimedia touchscreen stereo also help create a space that feels more like a compact apartment than a traditional camper.

Mrs Black said the model was proving attractive across a wide customer base, particularly for people whose travel and lifestyle needs call for something versatile.

“Many of our customers are farmers, shooters, and bike riders, and the X Terra really does suit many different needs,” she said.

At the rear, the drop-down access ramp doubles as a sun deck, giving owners a practical loading area for dirt bikes, ATVs, kayaks or bicycles, as well as a place to relax once camp is set up. Nine floor-mounted tie-down points help ensure gear stays secure in transit.

Underneath, the X Terra is built to cope with the demands of off-road touring, with a hot-dip galvanised chassis, independent wishbone suspension, 13-inch hydraulic full disc braking, 16-inch mud-terrain tyres, alloy rims and a DO35 hitch system all included as standard.

Mrs Black said the X Terra’s combination of toughness, comfort and self-sufficiency made it a particularly strong option for families.

“At its heart, the X Terra is about freedom and flexibility, giving families and explorers the gear-hauling muscle, creature comforts, and rugged reliability they need,” she said.

“And for me, as a mum, the four-bunk rear model ticks the box for larger families. It’s a very exciting moment in the caravan industry.”

With its fully electric setup, off-road capability and family-friendly layout, the X Terra is positioning itself as more than just another caravan, offering buyers a practical, modern touring option built for longer stays, bigger adventures and fewer compromises.
