Construction on the No. 1 Oval Pavilion continues to advance steadily as the project heads into the new year.
Works are scheduled to continue throughout the Christmas and New Year period, with plumbing, electrical, and mechanical ventilation works expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Installation of internal linings is set to begin in the first week of 2026.
All louvre windows and steel door frames have now been installed, along with temporary doors to provide weather protection until permanent fixtures are in place.
The building has been wrapped, and a termite barrier installed, paving the way for brickwork to commence early in the new year.
The redevelopment is a key component of the Bicentennial Park Masterplan and remains on track for completion in early 2026, subject to weather conditions.
Once complete, the upgraded facility will feature a contemporary design and improved amenities for both the public and local sporting groups.
