Call all pooches! Tamworth will be the place to be for man’s best friends this Sunday with the annual Gala Day for Dogs.
This family-friendly community event celebrates the special bond between people and their pets, and will feature pet-related market stalls, live entertainment, and interactive activities designed for both dogs and their owners.
Highlights include a Canine Scentwork demonstration and mini competition, as well as an agility course where owners can test their pup’s skills. Local trainers and behaviourists will also be on hand to provide expert advice.
There’ll be a jumping castle and face painting to keep the kids entertained and a BBQ fundraiser with proceeds going to the local Animal Welfare League.
As part of the event, a toy drive will be held to collect donations for dogs at Paws For Life Animal Shelter and the Companion Animal Centre, helping to support animals still waiting for their forever homes.
The program will also feature a range of dog-friendly competitions with prizes across multiple categories, generously supported by local sponsors.
