Bingara is getting ready to fiesta as the much-loved Mexican and Margaritas Trivia Night returns on Friday, August 29, 2025, at The Roxy Theatre and Greek Museum.
Tickets are available now for this lively night of fun, food and facts, which is also a major fundraiser for Bingara Central School.
Organiser Brianna Mack said last year’s event was a crowd favourite.
“Last year was the first time we’d held a Trivia Night and it was a huge success,” Brianna said.
The school’s Parents & Citizens Group is sticking with the Mexican theme, which proved a hit the first time around. Expect bold outfits, themed tables and maybe even a cactus or two.
“We had about 70 people show up, many dressed up in sombreros or ponchos, some as Tabasco sauce bottles and others as a cactus!” Brianna said.
“Most people even bought their own cacti to put on their tables.”
This year’s ticket price is $30 per person (over 18 only please), with a maximum of eight per table, and includes a nacho bowl, lucky door prize entry, and a drink on arrival.
“We’ll have excellent Mexican food and margaritas,” Brianna said.
And it’s not just about eating and sipping – it’s a great chance to show off your trivia smarts.
“Trivia nights are a great opportunity to hang out with your friends and meet new people,” she said. “It’s a good way to team up with your besties and use your brain!
“Everyone gets involved and has a fantastic time, while raising money for a good cause.
“The Trivia Night is an important fundraiser for the school and money raised goes a long way towards helping local kids,” Brianna said.
“It’s a good example of local people in the town pulling together for the benefit of our young people.”
The night will feature a range of prizes, including for best dressed table, raffles, and more.
“Several local businesses have been very generous donating prizes, including cash and wine and Bunnings always comes on board,” Brianna said.
Doors open at 6pm, with trivia kicking off at 6.30pm, and tickets available online via www.trybooking.com.au/DCJIT or by scanning the QR code on the flyer.
