Motorists are being advised of changed traffic conditions on the New England Highway (also known as Rouse Street) at Tenterfield for asphalt patching between Martin and High streets on Tuesday, June 24, from 7am to 5pm, weather permitting.
Single lane, alternating traffic flow arrangements and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place during work hours for the safety of workers and road users.
At certain times during asphalting, driveway access to properties in the work area on the New England Highway will be temporarily restricted. The project team will liaise with impacted residents to discuss arrangements.
This work will also require the closure of Martin and Molesworth (east) streets at the New England Highway during work hours. Short detours will be available and access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

Oversize and overmass vehicles more than 3.5m wide should call the project team on 0411 021 138 prior to travel to discuss access through the work site.
Motorists should allow up to five minutes’ extra travel time, drive to traffic conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
